Shipping flooring is a freight job
Boxes of vinyl plank, foam tiles and adhesive film are heavy, long and awkward — nothing like a parcel. Pelaro Boutique packs and dispatches every order from Jaipur, and this page gives the real numbers for a freight-shaped delivery rather than the courier promises that suit a small box.
Order in full boxes, not in square feet
Flooring is sold and shipped by the box, and each listing states the coverage that box gives. Work out your area, add the usual cutting allowance, then round up to whole boxes — a part box cannot be shipped and a short order means a second freight charge later. If a batch runs out between your first and second order, the shade can differ slightly, which is the other reason to buy the whole job at once.
Cut-off and handling
Orders confirmed before 3:00 PM IST on a working day start handling the same day. Handling takes 3 business days, Monday to Saturday, and it is longer than a small-parcel shop for a reason: boxes are counted against the order, corner-protected, strapped onto a pallet where the quantity justifies it, and re-wrapped before the freight partner collects.
Delivery times
- Metro and large-city PIN codes: 5–8 business days after dispatch.
- Rest of India: 7–12 business days after dispatch.
- Transit overall: 5–12 business days, depending on distance and consignment size.
- Order to doorstep: 6–15 business days including handling.
Consignments move through Delhivery Heavy / VRL. Freight networks run to their own schedule: a heavy consignment waits for a truck going the right way, which is why these windows are wider than a courier’s and why we will not quote you a date we cannot hold.
What delivery does and does not include
Delivery is to the ground-floor entrance of the address you give. The freight partner is not obliged to carry boxes upstairs, into a lift, or through a flat, and there is no installation service — plan for someone to be there who can move the boxes inside. Please give a phone number that will be answered, because heavy consignments are almost always called ahead.
What it costs
Free on orders of ₹3,999 and above. Below that, a flat ₹149 on the whole order — a single figure regardless of how many boxes, shown on the cart page before you pay and never topped up afterwards.
Cash on Delivery and UPI
Pay by UPI in advance or take Cash on Delivery. COD reaches most serviceable PIN codes, but on a large freight consignment it means counting out a substantial sum at the door — many customers prefer UPI for that reason. A few remote routes and very high-value orders are prepaid-only, and checkout tells you which applies before you confirm.
Inspect before you sign
This matters more here than anywhere else. Open the consignment while the driver is present, record a video as you do it, and count the boxes against the invoice. Crushed corners, a split box or a short count are settled immediately on that evidence — reported within 48 hours of delivery with the clip, as set out in our Refund and Returns Policy. Signing a clean receipt for a damaged consignment makes a freight claim very hard to win.
Acclimatise before you lay
Leave the boxes flat in the room where they will be installed for 24 to 48 hours before laying, so the material settles to the room’s temperature and humidity. Planks laid straight off a hot truck are the single most common cause of gaps and lifting later.
Tracking
Tracking, or the freight docket number, goes out by email and SMS at dispatch. Freight scans are less frequent than courier scans — a gap of a day or two mid-route is normal.
