Cancelling a flooring order
Cancellation is free at any time before dispatch, and on a freight order that window is genuinely useful — our packing stage runs 3 business days. Once boxes are strapped and collected by the transporter, the consignment has gone. This page sets out both sides of that line at Pelaro Boutique.
The window
You have the whole handling window from the moment the order is confirmed. As soon as the freight partner scans the consignment out, cancellation ends and the Refund and Returns Policy takes over instead.
How to cancel
Email contact@pelaroboutique.shop from the address on the order, with the order number in the subject line. We reply to confirm, and that confirmation is what makes it final — please do not treat a cancellation as done without it. A request from another email address cannot be accepted, because we cannot verify who is asking.
Fees
None. We charge no cancellation fee, no processing fee, no restocking fee and no administrative penalty on an order cancelled before dispatch — and that matters more on flooring than on small goods, because restocking fees are common in this trade. Any shipping charge collected is refunded with the goods.
Refund timing
Approved cancellations are refunded in full to the original payment method, processed within 5 to 7 business days in line with Reserve Bank of India timelines for online refunds. Your bank or UPI app posts the credit on its own schedule. A Cash on Delivery order cancelled before dispatch involves no money at all.
Reducing the box count
Measured again and need two boxes fewer? Tell us the new count. We adjust the order and refund the difference. Note that a smaller order can drop below ₹3,999, in which case the flat ₹149 applies to what remains; we always say so before processing.
Adding boxes instead
Far better to add before dispatch than to order again later — a second order means a second freight leg and, occasionally, a different production batch with a slightly different shade. If you are unsure of the quantity, ask us to hold the order for a day rather than dispatch it short.
Changing the address
Address changes are possible inside the handling window and depend on the new PIN code being serviceable by a freight partner. Some addresses that a courier reaches are not viable for a heavy consignment; we will tell you before anything ships.
After dispatch
You can refuse the consignment at the door, in which case it returns to us and we refund the goods once it is back and counted, or accept it and raise a return within 7 days of delivery under the Refund and Returns Policy. On freight, refusing at the door is usually much cheaper than a return leg you arrange yourself.
Cancellations from our side
Occasionally we must cancel: a batch that fails its check before dispatch, a coverage or price figure published in error, a PIN code no freight partner will serve, an address that cannot be verified, or an order with fraud markers. We email the reason and refund every rupee paid on the timeline above.
Failed payments
A failed or timed-out UPI request creates no order, so nothing needs cancelling. If your account was debited without a confirmation, banks reverse it in nearly every case within a few working days — send the UPI reference and we will confirm whether it reached us.
Repeat cancellations
We keep cancellation records for fraud prevention. Repeated cancellation after dispatch, or repeated refusal of delivered freight, may lead us to ask for prepayment on future orders. It is rare, and we explain it before applying it.
